If you have spent years forcing a tool to do something it was never designed for, or your operation depends on a spreadsheet only one person understands, the problem is not discipline: the product you need does not exist. Building it usually costs less than propping up the workaround.

When is custom better than a product?

When the process is a competitive advantage of your own, when no tool covers more than about seventy per cent of the case, or when per-user licence cost overtakes development cost within a couple of years. If none of those apply, we will say so and point you at the right product.

Do we own the code?

Yes. It is delivered into your repository, documented, with no proprietary platform dependencies that would stop you changing supplier.

How is the budget controlled?

We work in closed phases with a defined deliverable and price. At the end of each phase you decide whether to continue, and there is never an open invoice growing unchecked.
